We are thrilled to launch our first DT Launch Pad E-zine as part of an exciting journey to empower Europe’s emerging deep tech talent. Following a successful kick-off meeting in Delft in 2024, our partnership of nine organisations from seven countries has solidified its commitment to driving deep tech entrepreneurship across European regions.
In this first issue, you’ll find an overview of the project’s exciting start, get to know us, our objectives and how we aim to bridge the gap between groundbreaking research and market-ready innovations. We take a deep dive into the commercialisation of deep tech, led by project partners UIIN, and feature research findings from over 80 expert interviews and regional analyses. Learn about tailored approaches to overcome funding challenges, regulatory hurdles, and market fragmentation from our nine synthesised reports.
We focus on universities as launch pads and the crucial role they play in nurturing deep-tech startups, featuring a spotlight on French higher education and its innovative ecosystem. We share an expert perspective from Dap Hartmann, a professor at TU Delft, on preparing students for the unique challenges of deep tech entrepreneurship. We also look at the innovative work of TisaLabs, from IoT security to sustainable energy solutions, demonstrating deep tech’s transformative potential.
