Our goal is to deepen our understanding of the needs of the Deep Tech community in Europe, particularly within HEI partner institutions. This foundational knowledge will be crucial for shaping future initiatives. Using our comprehensive asset mapping, we will evaluate our Deep Tech focus areas to guide the direction of our work and ensure impactful outcomes.

These maps highlight the professionals and organisations driving Deep Tech commercialisation both within their institutions and throughout their local and regional ecosystems.

Methodology Used

These asset maps are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all internal and external assets but focus on the most relevant and important ones for the DT Launch Pad project.

Partners identified assets led, organised and run by organisations and professionals of interest e.g., identifying key patent consultancy companies/professionals that we may involve as guest lecturers/workshop organisers/mentors.

To conduct the Asset Mapping, partners undertook:

Preliminary scouting and desk research of the assets in their region through keyword searches.
Further asset identification through in-depth informal interviews with core internal stakeholders.
Integration of the internal and external asset mapping exercises into an asset overview map using an Asset Mapping Template to record relevant information on internal and external assets.
